The Webboids are now fully available for free!
New assets will be added as things are finished and I’ll post a quick blog anytime a new asset is added or an old one updated.
I chose the Blog format to keep things simple. I had originally planned on just uploading the original Webboids package to another site and just let people have fun with ’em, but when DAZ indicated that the Genesis 3 and 8 (male and female) clones had to be removed and the rigging be redone so the they couldn’t accept Genesis 8 poses or animations, it left the Webboids a little naked and out on their own, pose-wise.
I contracted good ol’ 3D Universe to redo the rigging and to provide a clone to his first version of the Toon Generations. As a result, the Webboids can now wear any Toon Generations clothing, and there’s a nice little mix available from both 3D Universe’s store and 3djoji’s (links on the main page and on the “About Webboids” page).
PeTeGe has been busy creating clothing, hair, props and scripts for the Webboids and if all goes well, he’ll have another product or two that might really make the Webboids even more useful and fun!
With all the help being rendered by everyone, it didn’t make sense to just plunk everything up on someone else’s website and ask them to deal with it, so here we are.
Regarding the website, to help find things more quickly, the main menu has options to sort blog entries for you.
Clicking on any of the rotating blog images or any of the blog entries will take you to the full page for that blog. Any downloads will be at the bottom of the blog entry and will always be the latest version.
Click on “HOME” or the white banner “WEBBOIDS” takes you to the home page.
Click on “WEBBOIDS” in the menu bar to find every Blog entry.
Click on “CLOTHING”, “HAIR”, “POSES” or “SCRIPTS” to only show you those Blog entries classified under those categories.
Click on “MISC.” to find everything else, like blog entries for Props, Materials, etc..
You can also use the “Categories” menu on the bottom of the page.
This is only the second website I’ve ever built, so if you find something that’s not working or have some suggestions, please let me know.
